The Bank of England announced on August 13 that some of the notes issued by the Bank of England are now in circulation, and they are issued for individual use. Since they use the government’s stamp imprint, all are worth the same. You will find one for every 100 pounds or $100 you are worth, so there is no reason why they should have different prices. This is one reason why I use the pound sterling to buy my money, as I believe the coin wrappers are worth slightly less than the government-issued notes, but I have not yet bought anything with them.
The most common way to carry cash these days is to use a small card or a magnetic strip to store up to $10,000 worth of cash. If you can get hold of one, I highly recommend it.
I am a firm believer that the best type of money is cash. However I am willing to consider using coins, or even credit of some sort to save my money. If I got hold of $10,000 worth of coin, I would probably use that to keep it for any kind of emergency. However, if I did, I would be more than happy to use some of it on other things than money. With the amount that I am saving, maybe I should buy a few other things.

I was not aware of the difference between cash and gold before I started using gold coins. Here is one interesting factoid: Gold was the only form of currency made by mankind before the industrial revolution, however a few centuries ago the government made its own currency. Because gold can’t be stolen or destroyed it is the gold standard of this generation. However at that time it was illegal to pay in gold.
