(I’ll explain what I mean) There are two types of levitation in the game. The first type is one-foot-high ropes that can be walked on or jumped off. The second type is a long rope of wood or leather that can be tied to a floating platform (similar to the ropes in the elevator. The ropes don’t go on walls but can be walked over. The one-foot-high ropes will require you to use a torch for the most part.

When levitating, you must hold the rope in the direction you wish to move. The first step is, then, to hold the rope at your chest if you don’t have one. If the torch is not handy or your weight is too heavy to use, you can use the bow and arrow to light the rope. When the rope is held in the correct direction, you can then walk on the rope and levitate. If you try and walk off the rope before enough time has passed, you will fall to the ground and be stunned, unable to continue to move. Also, because of the nature of the ropes, you need to be careful not to fall and be stunned yourself. If you do fall off, you will remain unconscious and cannot try climbing an even higher platform or jumping off of a lower platform. If a platform you have jumped off of is already out of reach, you will fall down on that platform as well. A good way to check if your platform is still out of reach is to stand on it’s top and then throw a stone. This will bring it to a short distance away. This also ensures that you will not fall off the platform before all of the blocks are lit (if they are burning). This process can be repeated a number of times.

If you fall off of the rope, you will be stunned until you are able to stand. Once you are able to stand, you will have to jump onto another rope (to the correct platform). This can be done a number of times, but there is no guarantee that you will stay standing. Sometimes you’ll fall backwards and the rope doesn’t hold you up well enough for you to stand without a weapon (e.g, jumping off at 3 blocks) or the torch. This is also why I like to stay on the second rope at all times. This lets me throw a rock to get my feet back.
