How do you read minds? – Simple Magic Tricks With Hands

Some suggest it’s in the mirror you’ll find yourself.

And that is how he describes reading the minds of others: as a mirror of their thinking.

The mirroring of thinking is, of course, a common way of perceiving the mind of others, often as the reflection of someone else.

But there exists another process, called non-metaphor reading. It is a more direct, “realtime” approach to studying minds. And it is a technique which is often used with some success.

Metaphor reading is a technique of reading minds through the interaction of thinking – for instance, when reading minds we see the interaction between something as well as the object and the thinking. It is often described as similar to the difference between seeing and hearing – and the technique relies on this, too.

A classic example of metaphor reading, as described by the author of the new book on the technique, is what happens when I read this:

“This book, which was published by a major publisher in the US, is filled with an enormous collection of technical jargon and scientific jargon, but one really feels at home by its language. So I start reading it. I get my feet wet in the first 15 minutes; then I get the book and I get in and I’m actually there in the book. So then the book becomes my own private space, and I can put down the book and take an action on it by doing a set of words that bring me back into that space that I can actually see, touch, and feel.”

Metaphor reading may be used to study, as an example, a group thought process, and then to study, as an example, an individual mind. But it often works best in a combination of both types of approach: the individual mind approach, in which the technique is employed to help, by being observed, with others who can observe (the mirroring of thinking), and the group mind approach, which takes the interaction between ideas and people, in a group context, and also helps the reader by being seen, touched, and made aware of his action and reaction.

Metaphor reading is a way of studying people’s minds which focuses on the interaction between thought and action, rather than the interaction between thought and body.

By looking at the body to get a better sense of thought patterns, and the interaction between mind and body, a great deal of potential exists in learning more about people
