The way I’m teaching it, the way you’re teaching it, it’s easier to learn, it’s almost like a new language. For me, it’s almost like learning a new language. It’s not actually like you’re learning a new language, you’re learning a new way of hearing. You’re just hearing the same thing in a different way.
How do you teach one language while also teaching another?
You just do two different things at the same time. You don’t learn one language one way and another language the other way, I really don’t know how to do it, but then again, I don’t want people to know that they can. It would be really, really difficult to teach people. It just doesn’t work like that. It’s like learning languages that are spoken out loud. So there’s no difference in the way that a person learns one language and another.
Do you ever look at people’s faces as they’re talking?
No, I don’t. Not unless someone says something that’s confusing. Like, if someone says, “Hey,” and I say, “Good luck with school. How’s it going?” or “Where you been?” And she answers, “Well, I didn’t want something that stupid with you,” because they’re trying to put something into your head.
Do you know any songs where you could be a vocalist? Or something like that?
Oh yeah. “Hey I like you.” Yeah, it’s something like that. Yeah. The first time, when I got the part, it was just my first song ever. When I get to the studio, I’ll get to know the song, just like anything else. Like what do I have to do to get it in this song? What’s the beat? But you get used to it. Eventually if a song sounds good, it will fit into everything. But then I get my own stuff too. When I first got into the guitar, I learned that song and everything I played on it. Then there was a bunch of other stuff for me to learn on there.

I like any kind of music. I like music from childhood, I think that’s the most amazing thing. That’s like one of those things I still get from my childhood. When I grew up as a kid, I loved music. I like all kinds of music.
