A: You can make a free transaction using a MoneySmart card (available from MoneySmart or online and over the phone) and a cashier’s debit card.
You can also have your coin coins at the cashpoints, ATM machines, in shops and at many major retailers, with no charge.
Q: I found a mistake at the cashpoint – would you refund my deposit?
A: No, our service is free to use, but we will refund your deposit if and when we can find any errors and if we can recover the money as soon as possible. In addition, any error at our cashpoint will be refunded back to you (and you don’t have to contact us again). If your coins are damaged or they have been lost, we will contact you immediately.
Q: I don’t have any card or wallet to accept coins – what can I do?
A: Coins are issued by the Bank of England and are part of your credit or debit card. You must have the card to use our coin service. The Bank of England has a full list of all the credit cards we carry and we also have a full list of all of the cards that can be used with our coin services.
