How are illusions done? – Easy Magic Tricks With Cards

What does this image mean in terms of the world of physics?

I’ll try to explain the concept of illusions, but first it must be stated that there are many other illusions that are equally important to understanding quantum mechanics. For example, a single photon is a single wave, as is a single electron. A single electron is a collective of multiple particles, but a wave and an electron are not a single particle. The photon and the electron in general have no known properties beyond the fact that they are both waves (as is their nature). The only properties are properties of the way that their wave packets are produced. The photon and the electron in particular have no properties beyond any wave they could have become if they were generated out of nothing (like a wave).

It is perfectly possible for either, as long as, for the photon, or as long as the electron, or as long as both, were generated from nothing. In fact, there are many examples of possible wave packets, just as there are many examples of possible particles (like electrons or photons) with no known properties beyond being waves (they could be particles of the same particles or they could be waves).

How does it work? Suppose that we think we have a particular quantum field in mind. This field may be described by an image. For example, we may imagine that our imagination is in an ordinary garden where there are plants, fruits, trees, and all sorts of flowers. However, when we draw (or have drawn or painted) ourselves in a particular place, we are not merely imagining that place, we are actually generating that particular image of it at that particular moment. The picture of the garden may be generated at any moment, but this generation will always be reflected on the picture of the garden, and the picture of the garden will reflect back on our drawing of the garden. This is like viewing your image on the wall in a mirror: the wall will appear different to you as it reflects back on you, but the image in the mirror will remain the same. As you generate more such images and move closer to where the image originated, the image in the mirror will be more and more different from the image on the wall, but the image on the wall will remain the same. So we can say that we are generating the field in our mind as a wave, and a field can be thought of as a wave that is generated.
