Lincoln is a story about a man named Abe who grows up in what the locals consider a small city. On his childhood bike ride through the mountains, Abe discovers a small town that is a haven for the homeless. The locals give him shelter and he develops a deep and abiding respect for the people who live there. A little more than a year later, Abe meets up with his friend Jack and the two decide to ride with the homeless in the mountains.
The two friends discover a huge and abandoned settlement full of strange people living in the mountains. They soon meet up with Abe, but they don’t find the real Abe at all. Instead the two find the fictional Abe who has changed and now resides in a mountain resort where the local authorities are not aware that he lives there. Soon Abe learns of the true Abe’s hidden life and he makes his way home, hoping to find the woman that he loves and finally return to the life he had always wanted.
The story follows the lives of these three heroes one way or the other. The novel begins with Jack, the first to find the Abe. We follow him for the first few volumes as Jack tries to find out who is Abe, what he’s doing in this mysterious town and how he is connected to the real Abe.
I recommend Abe’s L.E.D., because it gives us these amazing characters. The story is not a heavy-duty epic fantasy-based story, but it is a simple yet touching drama. The characters are very relatable, and the story has an emotional and dramatic weight that doesn’t rely on cliché. This is the kind of story that will have you thinking of all the things you could do.
It is a beautiful story that will make you think about what it means to be human.
