In general, dance has several different origins. As explained in the chart below, these origins include:

1. Classical dancing origins
The oldest type of dance involves various moves derived from the movements taken to play instruments. This music can be a combination of classical instruments and rhythms (usually a mixture of Latin and American instruments). Examples of classical dancers include:

The most recent type of dance is known as West Indian dance. It can be more easily danced during the summer than during the winter months because of the shorter daylight hours. A good example of West Indian Dance is “Yoga Henna” where people perform various forms of yoga, usually in the form of “Yoga Poses” (see image below).
Another popular West Indian Dance is “Yoga Dance” where people perform various forms of yoga in the form of “Yoga Poses”. This is a popular form of dance in West India in many parts of the world, including the U.S.
2) Western music origins
The most recent type of dance involves the various types of music that were popular during the 19th and early 20th centuiruries. This music includes:

Traditional music originated in Europe; it had been used as an instrument for hundreds of years before the 19th century. Most of this music was from Latin America. It is a fusion or hybrid of traditional and modern music. Many types of music, such as “guitar music”, are now associated with the term “swing music” while other types of music, such as “harmonica music”, are now associated with the term “electronic music”.
