I’m not sure if I’m a good filmmaker and I’m sure I’ll never be, but I was raised to believe that if you put in the work the right way, you might get there. You’ve got to work hard and believe in your talent, believe you can’t get any better than where you are, and work towards your goal to the limits that will help push you to the next level. Once you get there, you may no longer be able to stop, but now has become the point of your journey.
One of the most beautiful aspects of the internet is how it allows people to meet strangers and find like-minded people with similar interests and goals. There is an ability to find people of similar abilities, passions, goals, and to help push them forward one step at a time and help them make sense of and reach their own personal greatness. I’m not saying that’s the only way to make movies, but this way of creating filmmaking is just amazing.
What do you hope to one day do with the money from the Kickstarter?
What I hope to accomplish with the Kickstarter is to provide the tools and documentation that every aspiring filmmaker should have to become the best they can be.
This means a lot of different elements, but the most critical component is the toolset that I’ll create that will help provide the information for them to learn how to use it to their full potential in order to help them make the best film they can. In terms of a possible sequel, I would love to produce and direct another movie with the same title. As a new filmmaker, I hope to find something else to do in this field.
The main goal I have achieved with my kickstarter is to gain exposure for me through word of mouth and YouTube. If this goes well, that will only help me increase my visibility and become more known in my field. When I have done what I have set out to do, I will then decide what I want to do next and how I want to go about taking this next step, which has a lot to do with my career path and the type of person I want to be.
