You should have noticed how he speaks and thinks like a politician. He talks like he’s been there (the producer) for a very long time. And he looks like he’s always been there. Which does not seem to happen. He’s a professional, he can read the press like a book.
JH: What I’m saying is the producers will always make a good star so they can get the highest ratings. And in Hollywood, you are so often told that only you will get a star. But in reality, not every person wants a star in their life. And even if they did, you still have to make the show financially and creatively viable. The stars are not making money for you. They are making it for the show. That’s why everything is on the back foot with these people.
I want to make clear that this does not mean that I’m against the idea of celebrities, particularly people in entertainment, joining politics (at all). I can respect, admire, and understand the idea. Yet, when I see how much this is about the ego of the actor, not the show. And what I’m seeing is a show that is still being built to its absolute best hour after hour. As we know, there’s always something more to be done and I hope it happens soon. And we won’t mind it.
