What is a freelance filmmaker? – Online Film School Certificate Programs

Well that is a topic many of you should be familiar with. My friend and fellow freelance filmmaker Jay Dyer has written an article on it and we share some of his thoughts on his experiences with the industry. If you know others who are interested in this, we would love to hear from them. To begin, let us look at what a video producer is. Video production takes many different forms depending on the goal, the market and the type of video that is being produced and produced. Let’s start by looking at what a freelance freelance filmmaker is. I often refer to it as a ‘producer’ because I’ve worked with almost every type of producer you can imagine (from writer/director to visual effects artist) and they all have some similarities that make for a successful, professional freelance producer. A producer also provides editorial supervision and is usually the sole editor within the team that helps create the video.

So, if I’ve told you a producer is someone that can make things happen, you would now understand why, although there may be more than one person that is responsible for making things happen.

Another important difference to take into consideration is how you’re compensated. A freelance filmmaker or production company can use freelance rates throughout the year. In fact, there are even freelance rates that can begin to cover the entire production cycle. This is where your video business is dependent on other people. You are the person who creates a video, you
