That is one of the questions the new book The Horse and Her Man has so far set out to answer.
It’s the fifth book of the two-part series and has been produced as a series of essays.
It begins with the discovery of a book that had been stored in the attic of a former barn worker where the man had died. It turns out that an American professor had discovered several ancient documents that revealed more than 200 years’ worth of horse research. The man’s only son is also an avid reader. With the discovery of several lost books, he believes that somewhere there is a treasure that offers answers to many of the riddles of ancient history – and a chance to read about a much younger world than thought and that we have lost.
To help fund his research, he turns to an obscure collector who wants a set of original and historic books and manuscripts from the 17th and 18th centuries. The collector is convinced to take on the project and, with the help of his publisher and friend, a young French scholar who has only just come of age in France, their quest leads them into some unusual history, into the lives of two of history’s greatest figures, to medieval England, the world of the horse and into the fascinating worlds of men and horses.
I’m a big fan of the American Film Institute (AFI). I’ve always felt that it is necessary to have some kind of a “critical” and “ethical” voice in Hollywood. I understand why some people have a different view than the AFI.
I have been asked this a lot, so I’ll write down the questions and give my answer:
1. Do your people get paid well enough to support themselves?
(1) We do get paid well enough to support ourselves.
2. Are you in an area where there are only 1 or 2 film schools for which to choose from? Why is that?
So the best (or least) film schools are not really available in every geographic area. Even if they are.
3. Are you in an area where there are many film schools that produce good films? Why is that?
Again, the best film schools are in more metropolitan areas where there are a larger number of potential film students so that you can find lots of good candidates when your school
