No, the guitar needs to be completely new, and you’ll want to learn it in a studio.

In a live situation you’ll most likely be using it with a bass or a microphone, but if you can’t work with a full electric guitar then you need to develop your own set up before moving to full electric. It’s quite good to know how to play a guitar solo on a guitar if you want to keep doing that, but I think the best place to go on a solo is on to an electric guitar.
And if you want to work in a studio or on a recording session, do you need a drum kit? Are you doing it for that gig?
Yes, I suppose at the beginning it could be OK – I’d be surprised if there weren’t people who wanted to play drums. But later in the journey you’ll have to decide, and it depends on where you’re going to record. You’re going to have your own drum kit and it will need to fit the sound you’re going to create and the studio you’re going to be recording to. There’s no reason why you shouldn’t be working with a drum kit in the studio.
Are you writing anything for next year?
Yes! There are other producers who I’ve been collaborating with on some of the next album, and I’m hoping that they’ll get a lot out of it… If you have to be on the cutting edge of pop and EDM, I’d say for sure the next album will be full-on electro.
With the exception of one more remix…
Yes, I will be working with him in that regard.
Will the next record be your last?
I’m sorry, I know this might sound silly, but I have no plans for another album, but I’m sure one will come up at some stage. It’s like an addiction for me: I want to keep recording new music, but I’ve got a baby on the way to university. But I feel that it’s really important to keep doing the best that I can, and to be successful in the future. So it will come on time – maybe at the beginning of next year – but I’m pretty sure I’ll be around for something at least once a year, so I’m going to spend some time with my son and spend some time with my wife.
Your other son, the youngest, is five months old now?
He’s two.
