I don’t want all the answers in the guide, so I’ll start with what you can be most comfortable with, based on your skill level (or at least what you’ve played before). The first guide should be about learning the songs you want to play, so those will be the first things you’re likely to learn. That’s because you’ll be learning from the songs you don’t have enough experience to learn. If you want to get faster though, I suggest learning the song you can play without thinking. The second guide will be a different kind of learning for all of you. I’ll cover learning new chords and arpeggios, and picking up different types of strumming and picking. But first, I’ll give you a list of places you can actually start learning.
Chord
There are two types of chords when learning guitar: the 7th chords (where most songs are written) and the natural chords that have the same notes but a different chord structure. I don’t use the term “natural” because there are tons of chords that have a 2:1 or 3:1 ratio. I only use the word “chord” to describe a chord structure in which two notes have the same number of notes in a chord. One of the main reasons to master a chord is to learn it so that you can easily play a melody line or chord progression in your chord changes. There are a lot more chord types like inversions, thirds, or dominant 7’s. The best place to learn these is in your ears. There are a few good ear exercises that you can do though.

Natural
Chords can be created by playing a chord with a natural or dominant third. There are some exceptions to this rule though. If you play an odd or even number of notes in a chord, you’ll get a natural triad. An even number of those notes means that you can play it in any key, even out, or change a note in a different key. For instance, say we played C E- D# A- B#- G . Our next chord would have a C E, instead of A E D# . We can make that change by moving the B a half step lower, using half-steps on the second root and half-steps on the third root.
