No, the new Lightroom is not a substitute for Photoshop. Photoshop is very powerful but sometimes you will need something to cut a hole in a picture and you are not sure if it will work. Lightroom works very well for this. Lightroom doesn’t require you to be an artist to use it; in fact it does a good job of finding a lot of the errors in your photos; and Lightroom is easy to use. You can see a lot of pictures in the Lightroom collection. Many people who are new to photography don’t know that Lightroom is really powerful and allows you to make adjustments to photos quickly. And I know a lot of photographers who use Lightroom or Photoshop for most of their photography.
A photographer who does not use Lightroom or Photoshop will find it very tough to cut a hole and make the hole cut.

What is the difference between a Crop-Picture, Lightroom and Photoshop?
Basically Photoshop is a program used to make crop-pictures and then crop them into a small format. They are the same program but different software.
The difference is that Lightroom works on the computer for all your pictures. It is for the ones you would take to other places as to avoid printing out the big photos and you can print them out at home.
This is very helpful because sometimes you just want to print something large for that small place or you put the picture together again and don’t want to mess up the first printing. Lightroom does it for you.
