Some kids want to learn to play classical piano (especially on their own). I am willing to do that for them because I teach them about music, though they probably don’t realize that we do classical. We teach classical because we love it, but because we want to encourage the younger kids to play the piano. If you play on a piano at 4 when you’re 16, and at 12 when you’re 17, you will never be able to do your best on classical.
