Many of the more difficult piano lessons you’ve ever seen would be considered too easy by the beginner. A lot of pianists, even those that use the same piano teacher, believe it’s only a matter of time before they can learn to play any major (or minor) scale. For instance, in the video below you see a pianist using the first and second fingerings of the fourth minor scale (E- F- G- Bb). He learns the first and second fingerings and then the fourth, but by the end of the video he can’t hear what he just did.
