The price of your violin is an important factor. However, how much you need to invest in a violin and how well you plan to use it will be the main factor in determining the price you’re actually willing to pay.
The most important thing to keep in mind is price. There’s no reason the violin should cost you more than the one you’re going to use regularly to play music. If you use the instrument regularly to play a range of music, you’ll need to pay less, not more. If you’re really determined to play music, however, your budget should be flexible.
You may well decide to buy a new violin, and that’s a good thing. The instrument will then get used for the majority of your sessions and you may not have the time to replace or repair it if anything happened to it.

SOUTH BEND BODY CAMP
A new body builder competition is being held at South Bend’s U.S. Cellular Center, the home of Notre Dame.
This year, it will take place in the North Ballroom, where the football team will be in town on Saturday. In honor of the team’s upcoming trip to Wisconsin, the event will offer a free workout that the Irish team members will do for the benefit of the event.
Other participants include a new workout program from Westside Barbell, and a new South Bend High School weightlifting competition. Last year, the event featured athletes from South Bend, Indiana, and South Bend High School.
Tickets for the event are $15 for single-day access and $20 for tickets for the weekend use. A full event schedule can be found online at SouthBendBasketball.com.
South Bend Gymnastics is hosting a free gymnastics clinic for children at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2 at U.S. Cellular Center. Children ages 3 to 10 will work on their own, then go for a full three-minute jump or a five-minute aerial routine. A pre-set schedule and instructor will be available at each session.
