The “knot” part of the name is related to the English word knot. A knot is an unkempt strip of cloth that you may see in the garden, in the back yard, or in your favourite restaurant in the street. Knots are not tied up, they are frayed around a little loose thread you can tie together into a knot, and they can also hang from walls or buildings. Knots also symbolise safety, strength, and confidence, especially in hard weather conditions. Knots are also an important symbol for those who work with ropes (such as carpenters, electricians, electricians, etc.). The answer is probably in your head – it may be loose or it may be tight. When you are tying a knot on a string, you are actually turning a dial to determine the “tension” of the string. The more you turn the dial, the stiffer the string becomes. Some types of string come in three different gauges – short, medium and long. Different types of string require different lengths of adjustment for the gauges; some string knots (like double crochet) can be tied in one of three ways – with a little twist or the help of a long thin thread, which is then stretched into another knot, and with straight twisted string – a more commonly used process, and very effective and often safer. Many string knots come with a “pull-through” method which means they come apart if you try to take them apart too fast; and as they become more and more stringy the pull through also becomes more and more difficult in the extreme. Many tie-up knots come with a pull through or pull-through to adjust the tension of the knot itself. If you are trying to untie a string knots can easily slip out of the knot or can easily get caught on the ends of the string. And if you let go of a knot to tie up another one and then try to draw the two ends of the string back together, you will end up with another knot. And you probably shouldn’t put anything in the air with a string as long as that string is too tight.
