Although short nails would be good for a person who is short in stature, for someone taller you should have at least one long nail!
Do you need a long beater, or is it enough to nail?
The short beater is a lot quicker to start. If you don’t want to start right away, you can make one out easily by using a pair of scissors to cut it in half and then having the piece of plastic wrap it. You can just cut it up and have it ready for you in case you do need to start an instrument straight away or for a new bass (if you are looking for a bass.)
Why did you start with just one nail?
I started with one because I liked the sound of it. To be honest, you really can’t tell how good a guitar sounds, and I like to know how a stick makes me sound.
And why do they cut away the nail?
The nail is the same size when it’s being cut off, as it is when you are holding the instrument. Sometimes they will cut away a few of the nail hairs in the bottom of the instrument to make the nails easier to pick up by hand.
I didn’t see anything on the online store that had a guide for fingering. Are there any pictures in the store to help me with this??
There are some images that come up over here when you go to view a guitar in person, but if there is nothing on there that says how to finger the instrument, I recommend searching the internet for how to finger the instrument, or check out a guitar shop for guitar fingering tips.
I have a question – how is the sound??
I personally like to play the instrument and have heard it play at several places where I have played. It has an amazing range of sound. It has no flaws in it whatsoever. I’m happy to say that it has really taken off with the online community and I have been doing it for over 10 years now. I am a full time musician and the bass in my band has taken on a life of it’s own and I now have a new place to live so I will be keeping it a secret for my new home (the new home is always a secret!) – not a secret if you are a regular Bass Player!
