What key are my notes at?
The best way to find out is to hold one finger and play with both hands simultaneously – just like the human hand. If the note you are playing is the same in your left and right hand, and your two fingers are on top of each other and touching, you know that note is the same in your left and right hand – right hand (1). Note that the “upper” right hand (2) has to be very close to your chest to avoid hitting the upper neck of the ukulele. Also, the lower arm may be lower on your chest than the upper arm on your neck to prevent any accidental neck bend or damage to your finger. If you have trouble hearing the right hand as a whole, it is best to try it on the ukulele with your left hand.
