Did Matt Bennett actually do ventriloquism? – Ventriloquist Methods

According to the BBC :  There’s also a theory which he actually did.  We haven’t been able to verify it thoroughly, but we think it could be true.  When he was in hospital, he went to the pub and sat outside smoking a cigarette, after which his nurse spotted him with a bottle of vodka. In the end, of course, the nurse was not fooled, but he’s now had a second look at his condition, and he has now been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder and has admitted to drinking twice the normal amount of vodka for 24 hours straight. According to a doctor at a local hospital,  this should be the first case he’s ever heard of of. He said: I’ve never seen a guy go so mad at one time of the day. He’s a really sweet guy, a good guy. This is the worst case we’ve ever had so far – the first time I’ve ever seen that. I think people should be aware of this happening and be careful.
Another theory, however, is that Bennett was drinking alcohol before he arrived at the site. According to the BBC :  He was driving around town when he was stopped by the police for speeding. It was at this point that he had gone berserk with rage, stabbing his victim repeatedly.  When he was seen in the hospital, however, Bennett was found to have a blood alcohol level as high as 70 milligrams each minute.

Budget 2015 to see increased expenditure on pensions, schools at $17b to $17.5b

A major shake-up has been launched for the Federal Government’s pension system, with $17.5 billion being spent on schools in an election year, with additional cost coming from a higher proportion of non-dependents’ benefits.

Australian governments spend a lot of money on pensions, with pensioners paying around $14.4 billion last financial year on average, or almost $100 for every year they work.

New figures out from the parliamentary Budget Office show that, while the total cost of pensions to Australian taxpayers will increase by $3.8 billion over the next two years, this is primarily on account of an increase in the pension
