That’s true even if the church isn’t. The church is a myth, or rather, a fiction. The church isn’t real, and a lot of what happens is a lot more plausible, a lot clearer, a lot easier to understand if you look at some of the church’s teachings. Magic was created at the time the church was formed, and while it’s certainly fun playing in a church that’s built on magic, there are very specific things that happen in that church that the church isn’t real.
I don’t want to give away too many details, but I can tell you something that I had hoped someone in the community might actually be wondering about, but maybe didn’t realize because they’ve always known the answer.

Yes, yes, yes! Yes! You’ve heard that! Let’s move on to the very first question. So, how did all this Magic thing actually get started?
That was the first day that I started working on Magic.
The first day I had any contact with Jon Finkel, the developer responsible for the game. He was a young man at the time and not even my age at the time. In fact, there were two other guys who worked on Magic on the same job, and one had even written the game’s very first rule. At some point, I think there is a reference to an article about Jon that was later reprinted as a reference to the development team in the magazine. I don’t remember anything else about Jon that came up because we were all working on Magic, so that’s all I can remember at the moment.
So, what was that day like? Jon and I became close friends in late 1992 or early 1993. He is a very nice guy and very respectful of others, and he is very enthusiastic and enthusiastic about making Magic games.
