Telekinesis –
Telekinesis is the ability to manipulate matter and energy. It is a type of ESP and is also a natural strength and ability. Its most common use is the ability to make a person levitate or fly, or to open doors, windows or draw them in by thought, while others use it to lift objects and move them. It is the most commonly seen skill in the DCiverse, so its not surprising to see that more superheroes have it than most other sports. In Marvel Universe, it is based in the Cosmic Manipulation category (see Cosmic Manipulation section).
Some examples of what telekinesis can do have shown up in various comic books and movies, such as the Green Lantern Corps, as well as other non-Marvel stories.
If I were an alien, what do I get (with my powers)?
Eyesight. For aliens, this is not that amazing as it is quite possible for them to have their eyesight impaired since they’re so large; however, since they are beings of light, they would have seen the stars. It’s also possible for a person just with the power to be completely blind, as seen in the movie Gravity by Alfonso Cuarón, but in that case the power would also likely be able to help, so it is somewhat more believable than what we see most of the time.
How much does telekinesis power cost?
The most common cost is the cost of power, in essence turning the power into something else. For example, if we took the ability to fly with a superhero, it would cost the user a considerable amount of power, since most of the power would have to be converted into something else (like healing).
Is telekinesis a part of a superpower?
Actually it is not. Most powers that involve the use of matter or energy involve the use of matter or energy. Not only is it not part of a super-power, but it is not something that the power takes on itself; it is something that is inherited.
