I’m going on a pilgrimage of sorts, from Ireland to the USA. Dancing is such a spiritual and uplifting experience that it brings you close to others in just as many ways. It’s a celebration of life, the community, and how much you can do together…

This is the birthplace of the Irish Way – so famous for its innovative dance music that “Dancing of Ireland” was named after it! The Irish Way is a way of life.
It began as a small movement in the Dublin village of Enniskillen. In the early 2000s it became an internationally well developed movement and has spread to many countries around the world: Italy, the USA, Australia and UK. The Irish Way has grown and is not likely to be replaced by any new dance revolution of the future, unlike in the USA and many other countries, where dance is now considered part of the public school system. But the dance’s cultural significance lives on and it continues to play an important role.

Dancing, too, has evolved over the centuries in many countries. It has been a common part of popular culture in Europe and America, and has moved with the times throughout Europe and across the globe.
There are many reasons why modern dance culture is so vibrant outside of
