A video posted by Mikey (@cobra_mikey) on May 20, 2015 at 8:55am PDT This isn’t just a story about how a film degree shouldn’t matter. This is a story about how a bad film degree doesn’t mean anything… until it does.
There is an old saying: What good is a degree for if you can’t make a good film? And I think this is why a degree shouldn’t matter if you aren’t going to get the job in the first place.
If you start your career as a student, all you’re going to get out of it is a paper degree in Hollywood. You’ll be given a degree of student, but you’ll never end up making a film.
You’ll get your degree. You’ll know something about making movies.
And you’ll know nothing about acting.
Why? Because the people you work with, you’ll get an idea why a certain actor works. By that time, you’d already be a member of the Academy, but you won’t be able to change your attitude to work with anybody else.
A lot of people are disappointed in Sony’s decision to postpone the release of Final Fantasy XV. In light of this, here’s a postmortem with some opinions on what could go wrong at next year’s E3.
[Update – This was already my prediction with a bunch of ideas and thoughts on the future of the PS4 and Final Fantasy XV, but this post has proven to be an exercise in futility.]
In light of it all, I’d like to talk about Final Fantasy Versus XIII, which has been a part of the Final Fantasy XV narrative since it was announced. There are still no details as to how the game will change beyond saying that it will be on the PlayStation 4 first, but I do want to talk about that because of some negative reactions.
We were promised to hear about this game, but it never got pushed forward. I’m just going to be plain as I am.
The game I had been waiting to play for years is still in development. Not only that, but it’s already been delayed a whole six months. What kind of message is that? Are we in any danger of Sony’s pulling the plug on a Final Fantasy project? Does Sony care more about what we think of them? Does this kind of thing happen to a lot of games? Is it actually true? Is this game going to be cancelled
