A course is a collection of short films that share an interest in film making. All films are submitted to film festivals on the basis of the following rules:
The films must be in digital and must be available for download.
The films may be submitted for the category of Best Documentary or Best Actor.
The films must be written by and/or directed by an individual or group of individuals.
The films must meet the following requirements: they must have a minimum 2 hour running time; they must be available for viewing online; they must be accessible in more than two languages; they must be available to view in 1 or 2 formats; and they must not be uploaded to the Internet.
The short films are the first submissions.
The short films get a grade ranging from the lowest of two to the highest possible of 5.
The courses are a collaborative project between the director, cinematographer, cinematography crew, editors, cinematographer’s assistant and a selection of other contributors who contribute towards the overall idea of the course.

After a series of court victories to protect the privacy of citizens, many governments are now turning to digital spying as a tool for surveillance. The practice has, however, been met with outrage, and now the European Union has started a push to prohibit the collection of citizen data by governments within the bloc.
The EU is also looking to put a global system of data protection in place, and says that a new legal framework should be put in place immediately. The new rules will also ensure that countries like Saudi Arabia and China will have to abide by the rules at this point.
“The EU wants a harmonized data protection system for all 28 Member States that will create the foundations for an effective and transparent digital single market,” the European Parliament said in a statement released by the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs.
As a result of ongoing protests and a long debate over the privacy of citizens within a surveillance state, there has been a lot of push towards an overhauling of the current approach to surveillance. Although it’s not quite the same as the old Safe Harbor system in the USA, it has been adopted as a compromise by a number of European countries such as Austria.
