Who’s least likely to get a paycheck?

There’s much to like about this question, but the answer seems to be that you have a lot of other things going on in your life. In a study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, researchers used two different versions of their own question to assess the happiness and happiness-related behaviors of Hollywood workers.

Here’s an excerpt from their study:

“For most of the participants … the top three paid employees had median levels of life satisfaction of 76.5 and 73.3 for the whole range of paid working hours. The middle paid employees, though, had similar levels of life satisfaction at 50 to 55 hours a week (with a median of 59.2 hours; higher working hours lead to lower life satisfaction), but the top paid employees (with an average of 71 and 68.4), on the other hand, had significantly lower overall levels of life satisfaction with a median of 48.5.”

That means that even when you’re not in the spotlight at the office, you’re working pretty hard in one-third of every work day, and it just comes down to who you are in that situation.

3. How can you be both happier and more productive at the same time?

The same thing goes when you’re trying to keep up a balance between these two things — happiness and productivity.

Here’s one study that looked at the same question and determined that the top earners were the highest earners in one area (such as entertainment or business) and the lowest earners in another (like sports — although some researchers have argued that the former can be a better predictor of the latter). The researchers also noticed that people have a lot of difficulty managing both these aspects of their lives (with many people saying those are one in the same and some even getting “mixed up” between these factors).

For instance, in another study, researchers asked people to rank the number of different tasks they completed each month during a 24-hour period. What they found was that both the top and bottom earners did the same number of things in 24 hours, but then the top earners had a bit more time to complete other types of tasks, like working out. So they could actually accomplish more while also trying to complete other types of tasks.

These findings are not exactly scientific or definitive, but it’s an interesting question
