I started learning to play guitar from the age of 12, and then just kept going and going. The hardest instrument for an adult to learn is probably the bass. It sounds stupid.
Do you prefer to play the guitar or the bass?
I prefer not to say that. To be honest I don’t like it at all and can’t play it, except when there’s good music and I can dance around to it.
Where do you live?
I live in an old two story house about 1,500 feet up in Lake Tahoe. I bought the house about a year ago and I’m going to make it into my own house. It’s right in my backyard. I’m looking at putting a deck there and I’m thinking the whole deck and the roof.
What is it like living with your brother?
It’s funny. My brother lives in California but we live here. We have a pretty good relationship. I really like the way I look.
How do you spend your time?
I’m pretty much working at home, sleeping, going out somewhere or hanging out with my kids.
Do you live a good lifestyle?
I guess it depends – what work I do. I don’t really enjoy my work. I just love how I can spend an hour doing something I’ve seen somebody else do. I just love the challenge.
Tell me about your daughter. We’ve all heard she is your first child and in school you look so pretty with your long hair.
Oh my God. Look at it! I don’t know what the hell I’m talking about! [laughs] I have such a beautiful girl.
Do you have any hobbies in general?
A lot. I’m really good at drawing and painting. I’m a cartoonist. I have a friend who did a comic book strip on the east coast. I did that and I love drawing comic books. On weekends I go to the arcade. I’m going to visit L.A. for a week next week for some music.
Would you ever get married to one of your friends?
Hell yeah. They would be the worst.
