I would advise any aspiring guitarists that the age of their first guitar lesson would be best. The older the lesson you begin, the better you will get. I have learned the guitar and I feel more confident with it. My parents have been my guitar teachers and I would recommend it. I would also suggest, that beginning guitar lesson would be best after having studied what you want to learn on guitar a lot. If you just play one chord or two notes you will not have the experience you need to master the skills you plan to learn. I would say to have studied at least 20 to 25 songs and then at least 10 or more songs. The older you study and the more you play, the better your understanding in the guitar will come. Also, having the right teacher will make everything go smoothly. The best teacher will help you become a better guitarist and will put you on the right track.

It’s not that I have too much skill in that aspect. It’s just that I practice very hard and try my best to learn at least one new chord a year for the past 10 years. I feel more and more prepared to play shows and concerts. In my opinion, there’s little difference between a beginner and a good guitarist. I’ve tried over 10 guitar teachers in the past 10 years and they never really gave me anything close to what I consider to be good music. It’s really your musical talent that determines your success from the point of view of the music. Having said that, I would never say that guitar skills are a bad thing to have. It’s more of an added bonus than a lack of skills. One thing I would say is that you should be a great bass player but if you have no idea how to play the bass, I don’t suggest you start playing bass immediately. Also, don’t forget that to be a good guitarist you can also be a good singer. What is the best time of the year to learn guitar? Probably no better time to learn the guitar is any year when the weather is good!
