What are image editing tools? – How To Use Picmonkey App

Image editing tools, as with many things, is a bit confusing. Most tutorials will tell you that you should use images, but what are they?

Image editing tools are an interface that we have developed to work in 3D environments. They are generally very simple and straightforward to read. What do they accomplish?

What are the effects?

Let’s look at the basic effects of the above image editing process:

We can see that the image editing has created 3 new “shapes” on the image:

1. A sphere

2. A rectangle

3. A triangle

How would we like our user to interact by manipulating objects in the image? The following image shows the image editing tool we have created in the UI:

To use in a 3D environment, you have to create an effect on the object in the image. For example, lets say we want to rotate an image so that there are three areas in the image. Lets say that we want to rotate the outer-most circle, the outer circle with the image overlay, and the inner two circles.

To set up an effect in the image editing tool, click the center slider and click the + effect

This creates an image effect, which we can then apply to our image.

To create more effects, we can click on the image effect and drag the slider. To create the texture effect, we move the slider until the texture appears and you can adjust the intensity by clicking on the slider until the texture appears. This adds a more natural effect to the image. To create a shape and texture, click on the shape and then double click the resulting image.

Image editing tools are commonly used to set up a simple shape, add texture for a more vivid effect or just to change the overall look of the image.

It is important to understand that image editing tools have limitations and have been developed in an experimental stage. The functionality and efficiency at these tools differs from your everyday software. The use of custom elements and other custom elements has not been fully explored so many features for which you would see in other software is not built into the image editing tools. Some features can be unlocked once the user has used them in an environment, but some are only accessible in certain contexts.
