This show featured many moments that are remembered, including those that have become hallmarks of Hendrix’s career.
The first thing that I noticed was that Jimi didn’t sound as fresh as usual playing his second piano solo, his song “When You Go To War,” just as he was with his first, and he played it with a different rhythmic sound.
The first song where I heard Jimi Hendrix was ‘Foolish Heart’.” It was the first time I realized that he was not playing the guitar at the time, and I couldn’t quite figure out why. It had been a long time since I had heard a guitarist play with such an advanced rhythm and technique, but I immediately felt that this guitarist wasn’t taking care of his guitar at all.
