How long does it take to get good at ukulele? – Get Plucky With The Ukulele

As you develop your skills and develop your technique, it does take some time to get good at it and get comfortable performing it regularly. This is definitely something that will take a few years but, once you become familiar with it and getting you comfortable with it you should be just fine. A good beginner uke player knows how to play ukulele comfortably and is able to produce sound even when he or she is tired. But this does not mean the ukulele can’t be played with ease even with a limited range of your fingers as long as your technique will allow it! Just keep practicing and you will soon become good but, this is definitely not something you should try to accomplish any time soon!

My favorite ukulele player is probably David Green.

So do you have any other favourite ukulele players in Australia?

Well, if you have the time I feel that there are a lot of them (maybe like four) out here. It’s really nice that people from around the world can experience ukulele and share it with other people.

Where do you think the ukulele will be in 5 years time?

I have no clue but if ukulele is ever going to go mainstream it needs to be in music genres most used in Australia. I think it will become a popular instrument that people will be using when they are doing their music or music listening.

Is there anything you’d like to pass on to other aspiring ukes?

You have to try it out for yourself and know when to take it out for a walk.

Washington, D.C. – The U.S. House of Representatives approved on Wednesday amendments to the 2017 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) that would allow the Department of Defense to “discriminate” against American military personnel if those personnel are gay. The amendments were offered by Reps. Michael Turner (R-OH), Trent Franks (R-AZ), and Jim Jordan (R-OH). The amendments were approved on a party line vote 234-187.

The amendment would allow the President to remove the waiver authority for “gender identity” from the law “unless and until” the Secretary of Defense “certifies that it is no longer consistent with the interest of military effectiveness to maintain in effect the waiver.”
