I don’t have a tenor but I do play several other instruments.
How long have you been playing the tenor?
In the beginning of my tenor learning I played for about 3 years. I was a soprano and then a clarinetist so I’m not too sure what my “beginning” tenor skills were.
Are you in school? Does school help you?
I’m in school. I was in choir school as a child but I have been doing everything I learned during my tenor study.
Is your singing a hobby or do you consider it a profession?
It’s definitely not a hobby, but I did take lessons.
Is there something that you’d like to improve upon?
I wouldn’t want you to learn something you’re terrible at before you could play an instrument that requires your best skills and that’s not my goal for now…
How important is it to you to get used to singing “real” songs on a tenor?
In the beginning I sang just to get started, it was fun and it’s still fun to me. But I did have a goal from the beginning: I wanted to work on it more.
What’s next for you? Any special projects in the works?
I’m still working on my voice so I’m working on building the foundations and getting as much vocal training as I can. Then it’s time to work on the range.
Do you have a dream job? What do you do?
I’m not sure if I have any dream job, I work in my private teaching practice and I teach private classes to students.
