Someone that plays the bass has a bass player. You may not call him like that, but he is going to play a real cool bass.
How are you going to make money in music with the name you’ve worked so hard to create?
I don’t know. I’ll be honest and say I don’t know. But I’m sure somebody out there would want to keep it that way. If you look at all the bands that are around today, you’ll find names like Oingo Boingo, Green Day, and I love Green Day and Oingo Boingo. They have all got that crazy personality. They don’t have a big name or have millions of dollars. They would be a lot easier to sell a name to if they could make lots of money off of a successful record they had.
Why did you decide to name your band after a movie?
I wanted people to relate to it. You know, I don’t like to do any one thing. I do everything with any level of enthusiasm. You know, I’ve played gigs, I played a festival with Green Day… all that stuff. I mean, I’ve got my own music label. It’s a lot of fun to do that.
Do you think you’ll get more success with the band name?
No, that’s not true — but I would like to make more money and it would take a little more effort than it did last time.
