Annie Lee: We like to have a few different types of beginner instruments available in our store so that everyone can find something that fits their playing style, and it’ll be affordable. Some people will have a hard time getting their hands on a well made instrument and we’ll try and help them get to that point. For beginners, we recommend getting a bass to start with though. It has the most tonal depth and flexibility out of everything, and it tends to be the favorite by far once the basics are covered. If you’re looking for something to play with your other instrument choices, a piano is great if you play the piano (or want you and your music buddies to play together) but it doesn’t have the tonal options of a bass.
If you’re looking to play the whole range of your instrument at once, the trumpeter is very much one of the things to consider – it’s got all the power but without having to worry about keeping your pitch in check.
It’s been the biggest year in the history of Hollywood for superhero movies, with two of the tentpole releases earning over $1 billion worldwide. Marvel’s ‘Captain America,’ ‘ Guardians Of The Galaxy’ and ‘ Spider-Man: Homecoming’ are all on track to make double figures.
But there’s one superhero movie whose fate is still very much up in the air – the upcoming sequel to the 2009 hit, ‘The Amazing Spider-Man.’
Directed by Drew Goddard and starring Daniel Brühl, ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ will be written by ‘Men In Black’ scribe Chris Terrio and also stars Dane DeHaan and Sally Field. While ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ is currently in the works, director Marc Webb and his ‘Sinister Six’ and ‘Green Lantern’ teams were involved in developing the script.
But Webb has been a vocal critic of the reboot, saying he found many of the elements in it too similar to ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ – particularly involving Spider-Sense in the Peter Parker family. He also didn’t seem entirely confident in getting the title right – he’s even spoken about possibly going down the path of “Wonder Man” for Peter.
There’s a lot of mystery surrounding the new Peter Parker’s super powers, including the power of Flight and Spidey’s heightened visual sensitivity. But despite his skepticism however, Webb is eager to be involved in a ‘Spider-Man’ movie.
