It depends on the writer. What was originally planned, it was more about the idea that Robbie would have to leave his family to be with Cat, and she and Cat will become closer than they have ever been because they will both grow up together. There may not be room for a romantic relationship but I’m sure there will be enough lovey-dovey and heartwarming moments to make it work.
And who knows? Some of the other writers may write Robbie and Cat a relationship that’s not just for romance’s sake.
Will you still be involved with the show? It’s pretty common for comics creators to show their characters in some capacity, including writers.
Yeah! I’m not sure. I haven’t been on set since I’ve finished the scripts. Right now I am working on Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD and writing some scripts. I don’t know what will happen after that when the story is over!

Do you regret writing The Misfit Boy?
In fact, no! I don’t regret being a writer.
I’ve read that “The Misfit Boy” has changed a lot since it first launched.
I’ve always been very stubborn! I’ve never felt like I needed to make a living writing comics. I always had creative ideas and was a very good writer. I’ve always done a lot of research and thought for the better, but I didn’t need to earn a living doing it.
So, when I decided to go back, I did it because I wanted to write it. I was in college and working the bar, so I figured I might as well try something different. I didn’t expect to do it for over four years, and then to change so much in that time? I love it.
It’s been a great run so far! You’ve been credited as the writer on Marvel’s new X-Men, and the first issue you’ll debut, Uncanny X-Men #1, is scheduled for July. As the editor of the comic’s upcoming second issue and a writer on Uncanny X-Men, which you’ve worked on before, do you feel that you’re the right writer for this book?
