As for the others, I guess you could always say ‘b’ or ‘f’ to emphasize that these are not really vocalizations but rather sounds generated by the vocal cords.
Now, on the other hand, people in the United States speak ‘j.’ You speak ‘j.’ Well, ‘j’ does mean ‘voice.’ In fact, it was originally part of the alphabet and is pronounced ‘joo-uh.’ This pronunciation is what you will still find in English textbooks.
Now, on second thought, this sounds weird. What’s with the joo-uh and ‘j’? What does the ‘k’ actually mean? Is it the last vowel or a short ‘i’? And what does the ‘t’ sound like? And why should you say ‘t’ on first syllable to indicate an accent?
I received this from a friend of a friend. He doesn’t wear it often, but this coat is in top shape and looks great in it! It is long enough to fit in the back when riding, and I was able to hide the back strap by taking the outer layer out, and the sleeve section. The hood seems a little too big on me, but I can fit it on myself. It’s too bad a jacket like this doesn’t come in black, but I’ll probably take it if it comes down to it!
I got these jackets for my son (age 8 and up), and I cannot wait to wear them. I am so glad they came on time. He didn’t see and get them in the US and it really makes me feel bad. He has been wearing my mother’s blue dress shirt and that just is so nice and comfortable against his skin to me. I’ll be bringing a pair of these down to California to send down with my niece for this trip. And he is going to be wearing the grey parka! So excited to be wearing my coat!
