What do I need?
I need a full 4GB internal hard drive (I use an 8GB 2.5″ HDD with some extra space on disk for additional files/data). I also need a 4GB usb external hard drive or a USB 3.0 external drive. What do I do?
To start install and setup go to the setup.exe located in the desktop folder. This process will take about 10-15 minutes depending on the size of your hard drive. After all of this is done (do not bother with the setup.exe file right away) you should now have a new application window open. There will be no window that says “Hello there! Welcome to Windows 8,” as this is the new Windows 8. If you are already using Windows 8, simply press Win key + R on your keyboard and type “setup.exe” and hold this key down until the Setup screen shows up. Once the Setup screen shows up and you have made sure the computer and windows are set to accept this new desktop, just close the setup.exe window.
What do I do later to enable the full desktop functionality?
If all of the steps above have been done correctly you likely have 4.2GB worth of space on your hard drive and you will never run out. This will just be a convenience feature for Windows 8 users that want to enjoy the full desktop experience in Windows 8.
