On Thursday, June 27, two days after a white police officer shot and killed Alton Sterling in Louisiana, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump took to Twitter to slam Black Lives Matter activist Malia Zimmerman and her alleged comments she made to her “young, beautiful, black friend” on Facebook that have caused “massive outcry.”
Zimmerman, whose profile states she’s a “celebrity chef,” reportedly posted on Facebook about black women in their “50’s and 60’s” wanting to have babies; she also made remarks about women who were having sex with young black men; and she has “some pretty white friends,” according to her own Facebook page. She says she doesn’t feel bad about what she said, but “I am a humanist. I do feel bad, because I know how much racism there is in America. I am a humanist and don’t care what happens to you. I still love you and I would never hurt you.”
Zimmerman’s Facebook page is now locked but screenshots can be seen on Twitter:

Zimmerman’s friends responded on Twitter with angry insults. But now, she has gotten in trouble for making “multiple racist statements” on Facebook, according to Salon.
Zimmerman has since deleted her messages and claims she’s going to try to “move on and be a better person.”
In an interview with The Daily Beast, Zimmerman says her Facebook page is fake and that the entire post was a joke that she deleted because it didn’t go over well with other black friends. She calls herself a feminist and a “social justice warrior,” a word that Zimmerman refers to often.
“I’m a black feminist. I’m a black activist from the black feminist movement,” she told The Daily Beast. “It’s a good thing that a lot of white people don’t know the name of, like, the most important movement of the 21st century that was starting around the same time as me.”
Zimmerman told The Daily
