Tim explained that when the company started it was a small team which worked with a specific set of goals in mind. But from the day they became a company, it was clear they wanted to go beyond the constraints imposed by the founders.
“We realized almost immediately that, on average, the most passionate engineers in our field had never heard of us or our mission, and that the idea was incredibly powerful for both our own companies, and for the rest of the world.” he pointed to the growing and active communities that sprang up in the months after their start.
“We’re building something that will go on forever,” he said.
Kerbinator is not the first company to make that call. The largest start-up funder so far is SoftTech VC, which has invested $40 million in startups such as AirBnb and Y Com
