“I love New Vegas,” she said. “I love the club.”
Do you like to party?
“I’ve never said no to partying. I love it here,” she answered. “But I don’t really think I am part of a club — I just like dancing. I don’t think about it too much.”
So where do you live?
“It’s Las Vegas,” she answered.
Who were the first people to treat you with respect?
“The first person I ever had respect for was my dad — that’s when I knew I was part of a community. When my parents were kids, they were in trouble,” she said. “They would just say, ‘We were in a lot of trouble. Why don’t you come over and help us out?'”
And do you have any idea why they didn’t want you to do that?
“They’re not nice people, you know, they’re mean-spirited and we didn’t want to be their neighbors too. We didn’t want to associate or associate with anybody.”
And who taught you how to speak French?
“My parents are very good at French,” she said. “I learned from my mom and dad.”
Who is the best writer that’s ever lived?
“It is always interesting to hear [what the other person thinks] because it comes from so deep inside of you. And that’s usually just some kind of a self-discovery exercise, like what am I thinking about today? What am I hoping for or what am I afraid of? So when someone thinks about that, my dad and I would sit around it for two days to come up with what is on my mind. And that’s how I can connect and learn in a fun way.”
Do you ever look back on your life and say this was your most satisfying? Did you have as much fun as you thought you would?
“No, I don’t think about that. When we were dating, we were always planning our future. I said to him, ‘When you marry me, am I gonna be your secretary?”
