It’s when you’re playing in 3/4 time and you’re picking a particular note and doing it twice in a row. If you do that you’re getting a really heavy sound. If you do it for a few bars and then start to slow it down you’re getting a really light sound.
Does the guitar tech have a special training for the guitar tech?
My friend Steve, who I got in touch with at the last minute, was an amateur guitar tech on the American band Straylight Run at the time but I got in touch with him because he said he wanted to set up a guitar tech position. I’ve been using a couple of different guitar pickups—I’ve actually bought four separate electric guitar guitars now.
Have you ever had to repair a guitar or amp or have a friend borrow one?
No, I’ve never had anyone take my guitar when it’s broken. That’s one thing about myself—I like to keep things simple. I keep my guitars as tight as possible, but I’ve never
