Well it’s really simple. We are going to use a technique that was coined back in the 80s and called “bokeh”. Basically it just shows the curvature of the eye’s pupil, the shape of the eyes.
To create a bokeh, we will open any photo or a photo of the eye, place it in edit mode and adjust the “color correction” option. To create the eye, we are going to select a photo of the left eye, open it in Photoshop and start the black and white adjustment. In this case, if we select the white eye of the same skin color as the one of our man we are going to select black, and in the top right corner of the eye select “color adjustment”. In this case we will select “tint” and set it to 20%. And we will now place the image to edit mode. We are going to go through them one after the next, and when we are done the following picture will look the same:
If you follow on the images below you will see a series of “blur” and “blur to color” effects. And this is what we want:
If you follow the guide above then all we need to do to add the effect to our image is to add an additional layer over our layer, set the opacity to 0%, and in the top right corner of the layer select ‘Blur’, and a few other effects you might want to add to it. If you didn’t add any blur or blur to our image to get the same look, then you will have to change some settings in Photoshop, such as the “strength” of blur, or the “strength of brighten”.
