My favorite editing software has to be Audacity.
It has a lot of features I couldn’t even think of.
And it’s free, of course.
Why does Audacity not have an option for creating color slides?
Well, that’s also a pretty complicated question because it’s a video editor.

So the reason that it doesn’t have any color slides is partly just because our eyes aren’t very good at seeing color.
But the main reason I didn’t allow color slides is not to make the tutorial too complicated.
When you do a video tutorial, you need to show the same thing over and over again in front of your audience, because they might not have time to watch that many minutes.
And we need to make sure that they’re getting an idea of what each color means, and what it means to highlight those edges of the slide.
So this is an important part, not just showing them the color but also showing them what the edges look like!
How can I add a color to highlight a part of the slide?
Right click on a part of the slide, and then click on the Add Color menu.
In the Add Color dialog box, I’ll select one or more colors to add to the image. And that’s it.
So with that tutorial, I show you how I did it.
Do you feel any different when you’re editing?
I haven’t noticed any difference at all!
That’s because I’ve been using Adobe Photoshop all my life.
But for that tutorial, I showed you what I used in my home studio, using the program itself, not just Photoshop.
Which, you can only edit in Photoshop, by using the Layer Styles.
So when you’re editing, you might as well put everything in a single layer at the same size.
I used that layer, to add color.
It’s a good practice. I just keep adding color until I get an area that I want to focus in on.

I do. I also use Photoshop Elements because I prefer it.
Do you use another photo editing program?
I’ve got a little program called ImageScream that I’m using.
I also use FCPX. I don’t use Final Cut.
