One common way to edit photos is with the aid of digital cameras and software. For example, here’s one of my iPhone photos — the green grass in the background was taken by an iPhone’s camera (not the one in this post) and then edited by my iPad.

1. Flickr
There are many different photo editing software options out there, and the only way to decide which one is best for you is to do a little research. One thing that’s been popular for years, but seems to have recently fallen out of favor is the use of the free Flickr photo editor. It may be that people are increasingly moving their photos onto the cloud. We can’t be certain; you might have to try another app first, but if we’re going to play a guessing game, this seems to be the way to go.

2. Tumblr
If you’ve ever been to Tumblr, you’ll probably noticed their use of a Tumblr editor. I don’t know if the Tumblr editors are the best, but, if they are, that’s pretty awesome! Here’s a sample of a Tumblr photo tutorial I found on YouTube.
3. Reddit
What’s most interesting about this photo editing process is that Reddit’s image editing subreddit has some very helpful things to say. For example, here’s a tutorial for adding color.
5. Flickr
While Reddit has some great advice for beginners, I find the way to add color pretty easy. This video gives a little background to add color.

6. Tumblr
While on Tumblr, I’ve found that they’ve been very patient with older users. Most of them have had photo editing software for years. One of the advantages to not having it in their apps, though, is that these older users don’t have to keep reminding themselves about their photo editing software usage.
