Police said one woman, her 4-year-old child, were in the home on the 300 block of N. Main. She said she heard screaming and woke up to find someone in her home armed with a gun inside. She said the suspect began searching her home and other units from the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Deputies and the LAPD were called. The man then fled back into the house before entering the bathroom, which is where police found him a short time later. He had been shot once in the head. No one else was injured. Neighbors of the house say one person is in police custody who is a suspect in an earlier burglary at the address. One neighbor who did not want to be identified said Williams was an African American male with tattoos on his hands. Police asked people who live there to come forward with any information that could help catch the suspect. Anyone with information on the incident was asked to call the Santa Barbara Police Department at (805) 553-2881. UPDATE: On July 20, Santa Barbara residents gave police the names of two suspects the shooter may have gone after a day earlier. Their identities were released after a tip from the public. One was a black male who wore a baseball cap, the other a dark-skinned male who had short dark hair and a mustache. UPDATE: On July 24, authorities released a video from Santa Barbara residents that shows one of the suspects in a home where the shooting happened, pointing a gun at a woman’s head. A 911 caller told police he heard a shouting, “I know who you are!” Two shots are heard — both shot in the head. In the video, you can heard someone with a handgun pointing the gun at a woman’s head, and then gunshots can be heard coming from the man’s pocket. The video ends when someone says, “Someone is shooting,” and then ends. “There are many people with us who are willing to step forward, and share information,” said
