D – E minor is a major triad, similar in structure to the C major triad and the C major minor triad.
E – F minor is a minor triad, similar to the E minor triad and the D minor triad.
M – M is another pentatonic scale and is related to the D major pentatonic scale, the D major pentatonic scales and the D minor pentatonic scale.
Note: When the first three notes of the scale are C – C# – C, the fifth is C# – D#.
When the third note of the scale is A – A, the fifth is A – B (with a diminished sound). This scale sounds different in a C Sharp tuning than in a C Major tuning because the Csharp, D Sharp and G Sharp strings are all tuned to the same octave.
