The Jagermech Battle Tank,[1] sometimes called the Battle Tank, is a large armored combat vehicle capable of taking heavy fire to support infantry.[2][3] It has also been the subject of several weapons design experiments.[4]

Launched from a heavy-duty armored support truck, the Jagermech is an armored fighting vehicle capable of taking large amounts of destruction before being destroyed itself. In the Halo: Reach Multiplayer Beta, the Jagermech Tank was referred to as “E-7” in the game files.[5]
Design [ edit ]
The Battle Tank is a large, bipedal armored combat vehicle with a heavy-duty armored support truck to mount the vehicle. In the Halo Mythos: The Animated Series novel Halo: Combat Evolved, the Jagermech tank was not an armor-piercing tank, but rather an armored support vehicle, much like the tank seen in the Halo: Reach Multiplayer Demo. Its turret and front-mounted machine gun are also located in the front. Its turret is similar to the M40A5, however, the Jagermech was designed with the M50A4 as the base for its vehicle design.[6] The Jagermech’s turret consists of both armored, and removable, armor plating.[7] Its armor is made from heavy, highly-refined steel plates. This allows the armor to be easily repaired or replaced.[8]
While it can handle many types of weapons with ease, the Jagermech can only utilize a single standard-issue weapon, the MK22. A M320 light machine gun is also mounted on the tank
