What do voices in other languages mean?
When you’re not using voice, your name will be written in Roman numerals on the page and you’ll be asked to write all the numbers from 1-9 using only your voice. If all of those numbers are the same, you might also be asked to speak them in a specific manner. You may become the focus of interest.
What are the main roles of the other characters?
At least once a day you’ll get a dialogue prompt. It’ll ask each character to think of what to say next, which prompts you’ll use, and how to think of the rest. It might have one of three types: simple, dramatic, or creative.
What does it mean to talk about what you’ve done?
You’ll often get dialogue prompts related to what you did the morning prior to the current scenario.
Do your characters speak in one of your own languages? Do you write dialog in your own language?
You may or may not have to write dialog in your own language depending on the circumstances.
How do you handle the dialogue?
Once you’ve got the scene going, get everyone into their respective roles. Give them a chance to connect on one or two things you want them to say. Have everyone else say their first line and then have everyone else start their speech. Let your main character talk, and everyone else follow up with action. Don’t let everyone get in on the action: let all of the characters get in on the action! Once each character gets their turn to speak a line is typically spoken, but don’t let your main character just give one sentence.
What does all this mean?
Don’t be afraid to challenge yourself sometimes. You might want to try new concepts, or to write dialogue for the first time. Be prepared, and you’ll definitely improve your ability to communicate, with more knowledge in the language and how it works.
